New innovative aluminum effect pigments for cosmetics.

Metalloy® effect pigments are innovative aluminum pigments coated with iron oxides. The productrange is ideally suited for colour cosmetics such as nail polish, lipsticks and pressed powders.

The new Metalloy® pigments offer outstanding metallic colours in silver, gold, blue, green, orange and copper shades. They enable formulators to achieve an unlimited range of polychromatic shades. The range is available in two different particle sizes: regular 30 - 60 micron and bright 50 - 80 micron. Geotech introduces Geopearl® Crystal series

Five new crystal pearlescent pigments have been introduced at the in-cosmetics exhibition in Munich. The range of white pearlescent pigments is based on synthetic mica coated with titanium dioxide and offers outstanding whiteness and transparency. 
Geopearl® Crystal pigments are ideal for transparent cosmetic formulations such as lipglosses. 

The new pigments are available in different particle sizes offering soft (1 - 15 micron), silk (5-25 micron), regular (10-60 µm), bright (10 - 100 µm) and glittering (50 - 250 µm) effects.

According to Mrs. Lieke Boer, Cosmetic Chemist at Geotech, the new crystal series are a bridge to the future of pearlescent pigments for Geotech. Lieke Boer: "In terms of product quality, the new Geopearl® Crystal series offer a significant advantage in whiteness. Furthermore the availability of natural mica is limited. It will become more complex to get the first class mica out of the mines in the future. This makes the market potential for the crystal range high."
